Ralph N. Marvin, 81, Spokane

      Ralph Nathan Marvin, age 81, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009


He was born Jan. 14, 1928, and lived in and around Clarkston until 1966, when the family moved to Spokane.


He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth; their children, Sharon and Judy of Lewiston, and Walter, Ron, Larry, Jerry of Spokane; his two sisters, Odetta of Lewiston, and Lorretta of Missoula, Mont.; and three brothers, Leland of Clarkston, and Andy and Homer of Lewiston.


Ralph retired in 1982 after working for Conoco for 30 years as a truck driver. He received a 2 million-mile award for safe driving. He and Ruth enjoyed their mini farm, where he did woodworking and made crocheted rugs and Ruth embroidered and watched her game shows.


A celebration of life will be conducted starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at 8606 W. Newkirk Road, Spokane. Any gifts of sympathy can be donated to the American Diabetes Association in Ralph's name.
